To get a handle on the effect Uranus forces has on the world it’s helpful to go back in time. The last time Uranus transited Aries was from 1934 to 1941. World War II was said to begin in 1937 and escalated in 1939, ending in 1945. Then from 1848 to 1858, there were wars in Britain, Europe, Asia, USA and Mexico. In the 1750s the Seven Years’ War was a prominent expression of revolutions and uprisings.
Sadly, if you go back in history it doesn’t seem to matter whether the Uranus force is prominent or not. In all of written history, according to award-winning political writer Chris Hedges, the world has had only 79 days without war.
It seems history is doomed to repeat itself over and over and over because humans collectively don’t appear to know how to make changes peacefully. Does it have to be through war that we learn? Uranus influencing Aries directly signifies active, will-driven change. Preferably, it's your will in the driver's seat. Globally you are often in the passenger seat. Are we currently having another global revolution? It seems that if we were to begin WWIII it would include the magic death button. Trump and Kim Jong Un were playing truth or dare not long ago. Did you know that Uranium and Uranus were discovered in the same decade? Thought you’d like to know!
Uranus has a tendency to create turmoil only because change is not something humans do easily. Look around the globe and you see political upheaval via a very different type of US president. That’s revolutionary compared to old standards. Brexit has turned a once great British Empire into a blithering mess. It’s clear this stalwart of tradition is being shaken to the core. I don’t think Australia has ever seen such a leadership schemozzle ever. The lucky country has lost its reputation. New Zealand has stepped up into the place to be and China is still plotting to take over the world – China is quite consistent don’t you think?
The Me Too Movement is an example of a demand for a cultural shift. In the process of women raising their voices, men are lost in confusion because their masculine culture is being challenged and changing. None of this is without struggle and resistance.
Take a good look at the global expression of change. Look at what needs to change. Look at the ill-health of the environment, gross pollution, mass distinctions of animals, displaced humans forced to find safety, overextended financial inequality. And take the standpoint of global consciousness. All of us individually make up the global expression of the state we are experiencing. If you think everything is fine – you are part of the problem and need a Uranus type shake-up. It is easy to pass blame with all this imbalance, but let’s step away from the blame game and just look at how collectively this is the state of our globe and how you contribute to it.
As this planet revolves around the Sun and is influenced by everything in our solar system, the forces of Uranus help push our reality toward renewal and innovation. Nothing is stagnant, nothing can remain the same. Creating new experiences and more exciting expressions of life has its good sides, provided we can go forward with those changes inclusive of humanity as a whole. Uranus is not the force for stagnation and complacency, so if you are fighting the shake-up and resisting the lightning bolt, you are probably struggling along with the planet you are living on.
